About nestoo

A nest of small, useful tools

nestoo brings together the tools you reach for when working online (checking an IP address or a DNS record, generating a password, formatting JSON, converting units) in one fast, uncluttered place. The name joins “nest” and “tools”, and nods to the Czech surname of its author, Hnízdo, which means nest.

It started in 2018 as WebovéNástroje.cz, a Czech site of tools for webmasters and server administrators. nestoo is its rebuilt successor: faster, available in several languages, and with a broader set of tools.

How the tools are built

Everything is free and needs no account. Tools that can run in your browser (passwords, hashes, encoders, converters and calculators) do, so what you type stays on your device. Network tools such as DNS, WHOIS and the port checker have to run on a server; they don’t store what you look up.

Pages are kept light so they load quickly on any connection. To keep nestoo free, some pages may show a small number of clearly labelled ads or recommendations.
